Skip the cold-calling. Submit your qualification, postcode and availability and we'll match you to a vetted host workplace from our nationwide network — aged care, childcare, hospitality, IT, trades, business or community services. Paperwork, introductions and check-ins are handled by a named Place Bridge advisor from day one to sign-off.
Most host workplaces in our network hire the placement students they meet on site. That's why we treat placement as the beginning of your career — not a box to tick for your RTO.
Any student currently enrolled in — or within 6 months of completing — a nationally recognised course that includes required placement hours. You do not need to have studied with one of our partner RTOs. International students on CRICOS-registered courses are welcome.

The fastest path is to work with a placement provider that has a vetted host network in your industry and your postcode. Submit your qualification, your available dates and your location, and a provider like Place Bridge matches you to a compliant host — usually within five to seven business days.
Vocational placements that are a required component of a nationally recognised course are generally unpaid under the Fair Work Act's vocational-placement exemption, because they are part of your training. Employers can choose to pay, and many do for extended or high-value placements, but unpaid placement is legal and standard for Cert III and IV courses.
Required placement hours differ by qualification. Certificate III in Individual Support is 120 hours. Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is 160 hours, and the Diploma of Early Childhood sits at 240 hours. Commercial Cookery, hospitality, business and IT qualifications each set their own hours in the training package. Your RTO confirms the exact requirement before placement begins, and we coordinate the host to match.
Apply to Place Bridge's placement support. We draw from a network of vetted host workplaces across seven industries in Victoria and nationwide, and we match candidates to hosts based on qualification, location, availability and student profile — no cold-calling employers yourself.
Yes. Vocational placement that is a required part of your CRICOS-registered course is permitted on a student visa and does not count toward your 48-hour work limit, provided it's documented and assessed by your RTO. Place Bridge coordinates the placement agreement with your RTO so the compliance paperwork is clean.
Most candidates are matched to a host within five to seven business days of submitting an enquiry. The placement itself then starts on a date that works for the host, your RTO's assessment schedule and your availability — typically within two to four weeks.
Our placements team can walk you through it — 10 minutes is usually all it takes.
