What is a nationally recognised course in Australia?

A nationally recognised course is a qualification delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and listed on training.gov.au. It carries the Nationally Recognised Training logo, is portable across every state and territory, and is the baseline standard that employers and industry bodies accept for entry into regulated jobs.

What Certificate III and IV courses does Place Bridge support?

We currently support placements and recruitment across Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Certificate IV in Information Technology, Certificate IV in Business, Certificate IV in Community Services, and selected trades qualifications. Additional qualifications are added as partner RTOs expand their scope.

How long does a Certificate III take to complete?

Most Certificate III qualifications take between six and twelve months of full-time study, or twelve to eighteen months part-time, including the mandatory work-placement hours. Your RTO confirms the exact timeline for the specific qualification and the study mode you choose.

Is work placement included in the course?

Yes. Every course we recommend includes the minimum placement hours required by its training package. Required hours differ by qualification — Certificate III in Individual Support is 120 hours, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is 160 hours, Diploma of Early Childhood sits at 240 hours, and Commercial Cookery, hospitality, business and IT qualifications each set their own figure. Your RTO confirms the exact requirement for your course and Place Bridge coordinates the host workplace so you don't have to source it yourself.

Are these courses eligible for government funding?

Some Certificate III and IV qualifications are subsidised under state-based funding such as Skills First (Victoria), Smart and Skilled (NSW) and JobTrainer pathways — eligibility depends on your residency, prior qualifications and the specific course. Speak to our team and we'll flag which funded options match your situation.
